How popular is linux in Guyana?

I may dare to say that I don't think there may be any other guyanese in this forum!

Anyways, Linux and Open Source is very much new (still is ) to Guyana but it is catching on. It started to progress slowly but now it seem to be catching on as more persons get interested in using Open Source Software.

Guyana has a LUG called GLUG (Guyana Linux Users Group) and can be found at http://www.glug.org.gy and it mailing list - glug@sdnp.org.gy

Guyanese are yet to see the full benefits of FOSS and are sometimes very intimidated to use FOSS.

Be willing to share any other info you would like.
