Shawon Haldar from Dhaka, Bangladesh - Ubuntu has a special feature. It has the root user disabled. So you cant login as root. You need to use su to get access of root. It is really good for security. Comment #1 Float from USA - I think this is actually a good idea for those who use linux on desktops. For servers, however, its probably best to have the root account intact.
